Do celebrities fetishise fetishes? Do you think they are really kinky or just capitalising off of the way we live? by Miss Foxx

Last week at the 2019 VMA awards, three male models were walked on leads by Trans artist, Nikita Dragun.

Snoop Dogg famously did the same thing at the VMA’s in 2003.

And it looked like Khloé Kardashian made Snoop Dogg her inspiration for a Halloween outfit that same year. (A white Woman with all Black Women on leads leaves something to be said though…!)

Dominatrices have been walking their slaves publicly for years to the awe of unsuspecting passers by, so should celebrities be allowed to pull stunts like this, just for “clout”?

I am personally torn between two opinions.

I am against this!

One is that to Me, they are making a mockery of submission. Submission isn’t supposed to be used to raise the profile of a Dominant. It’s supposed to be that a submissive is secure and confident enough to engage in public play, and the Dominant is supposed to be doing something that is totally normal to Her. Celebrities don’t go walking people around on leads in their every day life and so it’s clearly staged to gain attention for marketing purposes.

I am for this!

I think Nikita is possibly someone who I can respect for doing this! She has spoken up for the rights of Women and Trans Women many many times. Some of you may remember when she spoke up about Victoria’s Secret saying that Trans Women couldn’t sell the fantasy and she disagreed, posting this amazing promo video proving otherwise.

She tweeted that she said she was doing it to take power back from men. (Respect to her for saying they were consenting!)

So I think ultimately it depends on who is doing the act and what their intentions are.

Dominatrices should be free to walk their fully clothed slaves infront of whoever they want! I have openly said this as there is more physical contact between a Woman holding hands and passionately kissing her partner, than a Dominatrix who walking a grown man in public on a lead. You can clearly see which one of these is partaking in a sexual act in front of society and behind closed doors.

Latex and PVC fashion has been endorsed by celebrities and now can be seen on the high street… but will we next see regular people walking their friends and partners as pets?! Who knows haha!

But ultimately are people just so desperate to be watched these days that they will use BDSM as a means to be noticed? Do they even realise that some of us actually live our lives this way, all the time…?

  1. I read something recently about Nikita, and that was that she threw fake one dollar bills at strippers in a club once. I don’t know how recently that was but that’s not cool. You can’t support a BDSM act and not support sex workers. So to me it just seems like she fully doesn’t understand what we do…

  2. I couldn’t agree more with your comment about public walking of a sub on a leash v a couple kissing in public. People get their panties in a bunch about the possibility of children seeing a bitch walk, yet it can be easily laughed off as ‘grown ups playing’.

‘What are those people doing?’ at a couple kissing, however, can be a whole lot more awkward.

As a femdom, I approve of women walking men on a leash. Khloe holding the leashes of black women, however, comes across as racist and demeaning.

As for celebs appropriating BDSM, it annoys me intensely. Mostly because the majority have zero interest in the fetish, they’re just stealing the imagery to make themselves appear edgy and sell records or whatever. They have no concern for the fact that they are appropriating a lifestyle that many hold very dear, just for the almighty $$.
